Aperte Workflow is a compilation of well-known, stable and mature frameworks into a complete BPM solution suite. The software is available under GNU LGPL and its source codes are hosted on GitHub.

Aperte Workflow 3.2 RC1

3.2 RC1 (Release Notes) (Aug, 2015)

This bundle provides all the functionality included in Aperte Workflow bundle while also providing a sample process and preconfigured Liferay main page. If you plan to demonstrate Aperte Workflow to others you probably want to download this bundle, consisting of:

  • Liferay Portal CE 6.1.0 running on Tomcat 6 with default configuration,
  • Hypersonic, file-based databases. To use Aperte Workflow in production environment, it is advised to use other database, such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL.
  • Aperte Workflow (on top of jBPM5),
  • Sample process and basic widgets,
  • Sample pages with portlets,
  • Aperte Workflow Modeler

It can be also reconfigured for production usage in a few simple steps.

Aperte Workflow version 3.2 some new features:

  • Case Managment
  • Interactive Reports
  • Many architecture changes

To start a demo bundle, navigate to tomcat-7.0.42/bin directory and run startup.bat (on Windows) or startup.sh (on Unix/Linux). After Tomcat server starts, you will be able to access your Aperte Workflow installation at http://localhost:8080

  • Liferay Portal CE 6.0.6 running on Tomcat 6 with default configuration,
  • Hypersonic, file-based databases. To use Aperte Workflow in production environment, it is advised to use other database, such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL.
  • Aperte Workflow (on top of jBPM5),
  • Sample process and basic widgets,
  • Sample pages with portlets,

This bundle provides all the functionality included in Aperte Workflow bundle while also providing a sample process and preconfigured Liferay main page. If you plan to demonstrate Aperte Workflow to others you probably want to download this bundle, consisting of:

  • Liferay Portal CE 6.0.6 running on Tomcat 6 with default configuration,
  • Hypersonic, file-based databases (H2 in case of Activiti). To use Aperte Workflow in production environment, it is advised to use other database, such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL.
  • Aperte Workflow (on top of jBPM4 or Activiti),
  • Sample process and basic widgets,
  • Sample pages with portlets,
  • Aperte Workflow Modeler
  • Vaadin Control Panel

It can be also reconfigured for production usage in a few simple steps.

Aperte Workflow version 2.0 some new features:

  • Web service API.
  • Support of parallel processes and subprocess.
